S-Paramics Training Courses
The next Model Development course is on 23 - 25 February 2010
The next Calibration and Advanced Modelling Techniques course date is 2- 4 March 2010
In common with all transportation modelling systems, training is necessary to get the best out of S-Paramics. Each S-Paramics client is required to have at least one staff member trained to use S-Paramics at a basic level in order to be able to use the support service.
SIAS's training is backed by its extensive audit and consultancy service. Training options are listed in the right-hand panel, and specialist courses may be run by arrangement. Courses are conducted by transportation engineers with considerable S-Paramics experience drawn from the large number of SIAS's microsimulation commissions. They are designed to show how to properly apply S-Paramics software to a transportation project. They do not cover the basic principles of transport planning. All courses are normally held at SIAS's office in Edinburgh but all may be customised or held on clients' premises if required. Courses may be extended to include specific work on one of the client's projects. All courses apart from the Manager's Overview Seminar are hands-on, with one PC per trainee and a maximum of six trainees per course.
